Yes, I have seen all of your too cute blog pictures of your happy children going to their first day of school. Well, my child insists on being different. He refused to smile in any of the pictures we tried to take and he kept telling us he really didn't want to go to school after all. There were some tears and a small tantrum and I had to carry him part of the way. But, by the time we got inside the doors and he saw the other kids sitting down, he perked up, put away his backpack and hurried over to join them. I resisted the urge to follow him and quickly left. He reports he had a good time but he didn't like the rules: #1 - no touching the walls (?) and #2 - No lying down. Now we just have to get used to waking up at the crack of dawn! Ugh!

So funny!! From 2 lucky people who know Zach we were laughing. We hope you had a great day at school!
Oh no! How did you keep from crying yourself. Hopefully it will get easier and easier. What a good boy to want to stay with his mom. Mine are happy to be rid of me! ;)
I still do that when I have to go to work.
I just haven't posted about all the mornings I try to leave for work or drop my kids off at daycare and they won't let go of my leg and the teachers have to literally pull their little bodies off my leg. I hope Zack is now enjoying school.
I almost wish my kids had been like that, but all three of the boys have been pretty much: "Don't let the door hit you on the way out, mom!"
Before you know it, he'll be the same way. :)
