Zack didn't have school on Halloween so we spent the day carving pumpkins. I used a template to do this one.

Zack designed this one himself and I cut it out for him. Both of these pumpkins were home grown in our garden. Out of 4 pumpkin plants planted, we got two measely pumpkins! That shows what a green thumb I have. We will try again next year! (This pumpkin is actually quite large, but the other one was pretty small)

For family home evening one night we made this scary gingerbread house. Zack was the designer and I was the assistant. Steve took a nap on the couch. (I sure am glad that I don't have a stressful, full-time job!)

What a fun time you must have had!! Dennie got to bring a pumpkin home from kindergarten and since it was like, the day before Halloween I told him we weren't cutting it up for a jack o'lantern, but we could cut it up for pie and he was very happy about that!

Deidra, Your pumpkin carvings look great. I really like the gingerbread house also! Those pumpkin templates are so cool. Why didn't they have them when we were kids?

Way impressed! You did better on pumpkins than we did. We had a lot of blossoms but only one pumpkin. It was big but not exactly round! We just bought a Christmas gingerbread house to do after Thanksgiving. Zack's costume was great! Good work! Fun to see a picture of your Mom too. It has been a LONG time since I have seen her.

What a fun Halloween holiday you guys had. Your pumpkins are great! I think I want to start a tradition and have friends over before Halloween and have a pumpkin carving contest...no templates allowed. : ) Zack's costume is great, you always have great costumes for him. And yes, working a full time job is stressful. I think Larry would have been on the couch too if we were making a gingerbread house. Such a tough day! wink wink
